TESOL Spain 2012

Guggenheim, Blibao. My photo.
Last weekend I was at the TESOL Spain conference in Bilbao. I had a great weekend, but returned to work on Monday completely exhausted!

I spoke on Sunday morning about online professional development, presenting some findings from my Masters dissertation focusing on Twitter.

I also introduced the idea of a self-constructed personal learning environment, featuring a number of different tools, web 'artefacts', which are connected to provide a "digital resident" (White and Le Cornu, 2011) with a space in which to engage with people and information.

For the talk, I created a presentation using Prezi, which can be found here and is embedded below.

As I explained in the talk, I have decided to publish my MA dissertation research, entitled: "Teacher Tweeting: Exploring the use of Twitter in Teachers' Professional Lives". I have uploaded this to Scribd and it is available here. It is also embedded in another page on this blog here.
