Uses & exercise of shall / should , Will / Would


Uses of "shall"
"Shall" is used to make future tense sentence.
basically it is used before a verb in the infinitive to tell that something will take place in the upcoming future.
used to show-
  • obligation
  • requirement
  •  promise strong assertion or intention
  • expressing an instruction
  • order,command or obligation 
Note ? (The difference to use  shall or  will is highly complicated, in today?s time  ?shall? n ?will? is using according to person of our subject . like - as we say ?I will leave tomorrow? here speaker is determined to leave tomorrow , If we say ?you shall leave tomorrow.? it is sounding like a command )

Shall is mostly used with first person pronoun ?I? and ?we?.

Assertion, intention
I shall go to see the movie.
  • We shall do it.
  • We shall come by bus.
  • you shall go to school.
  • I shall go to my home town.
Negative
  • He shall not repeat that mistake.
  • You shall not frighten him.
Interrogative
  •  Shall they punish you for your misbehavior?
  • What time shall we meet?
  • What dress shall I were?
  • Shall I open the door?
  • Shall we go?

"Should"

(The past tense of shall)
Used as an auxiliary verbs to indicates speaker?s  action ,mostly used with ?I? or ?we? I should like to stay with you used to show duty ( she should not do that)
to express condition (I should like to go with you)
To show desirability
  • We should be kind to the animals.
  • Everybody should serve his elder.
  • You should not come late.
  • Prize should be more reasonable
 To give Advice
  • You should pay your duty honestly.
  • You should pay your duty honestly.
  • They should give him moral support.
Should have+ Past participle (to show past possibility)
  • They should have built their own office.
  • She should have done more practice before giving performance.
  • He should have told the truth them by now.
Should taking as ?if?
  • Should you come in time I would give you a prize.
  • Should she seek his help, he would certainly help him .
Should in indirect narration
He said "that he should do it again with more practice".


"Will"
will :used to express deliberate intention or wish,
to make present simple tense will is used with second or third person
  • You will attend the party.
  • He will come with me.
  • She will perform in the party.
"Will" to show determination
  • I will keep my words.
  • I will never hurt him.
  • We will give our best.
To show possibility and guess
  • She will need your guidance.
  • He will reach on time.
  • That will be my letter.
  • You will get something good in this.
Pray or invitation
  • Will you have coffee with me.
  • Will you give me lift to my office?
  • Will you not support me?

"Would"
would is used for showing desire, intent, to make polite request,
Expectations (that would be servant at the door),
indicate uncertainty ( he would seem getting better without medicine.)
Would is used for give advice, determination, possibility, guess etc

Would have + past participle (work that was not completed in the past)
  • If she had a worked a little harder, she would have secure first division.
  • Had she practised little harder she would have been awarded by dance academe.
?Would? is often used to tell about the past that occasionally happened
  • He would often spend his morning in the open air.
  • She would often go for swimming
Would rather / would sooner (to show preference)
  • I would rather sit silently.
  • I would rather break then bend.
  • I would sooner give up my break.
Would after wish (It shows strong desire)
  • I wish he would teach me.
  • I wish she would learn dance.
